Scale recipe ingredients up or down for any number of servings
Scale factor: 2×. All ingredients are doubled: 2 cups becomes 4, 1 cup becomes 2, 0.5 cup becomes 1.
Scale factor: 0.33×. 3 cups becomes 1 cup, 1.5 cups becomes 0.5 cup, 1 cup becomes 0.33 cup.
Scale factor: 3×. All ingredients tripled: 2 becomes 6, 1 becomes 3, 0.75 becomes 2.25.
For most baking recipes, yes. However, very large batches (5x+) may need adjustments to leavening agents and baking time.
