Calculate percentages, percent changes, and percentage of numbers
15% of 200 = 30. Useful for calculating tips, discounts, or portions.
45 ÷ 180 × 100 = 25%. This tells you what fraction one number is of another.
The percent change from 50 to 75 is 50%. Calculated as (75-50)/50 × 100.
Multiply the number by the percentage and divide by 100. For example, 20% of 150 = 150 × 20/100 = 30.
Percent change = ((New Value - Old Value) / |Old Value|) × 100. A positive result means increase, negative means decrease.
Divide the part by the whole and multiply by 100. For example, 30 is what % of 120? → 30/120 × 100 = 25%.
