Calculate your Body Mass Index and see where you fall on the healthy weight scale

A person who is 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs 200 pounds has a BMI of 30.4, which falls in the Obese category. To reach the Normal range, they would need to be under 164 lbs.

Body Mass Index (BMI) is a measure that uses your height and weight to estimate whether you are at a healthy weight. It is calculated by dividing your weight by the square of your height and is used worldwide as a screening tool.
BMI is a useful population-level screening tool but has limitations for individuals. It does not account for muscle mass, bone density, age, sex, or ethnicity. Athletes and muscular individuals may be classified as overweight despite being healthy.
Underweight: below 18.5. Normal weight: 18.5 to 24.9. Overweight: 25 to 29.9. Obese: 30 and above. These ranges apply to adults and may not be appropriate for children, pregnant women, or the elderly.
